Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
At the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, the Tiny Star Beads program is offered to parents of babies admitted to Newborn Care.
After every medical procedure, the beads can be collected from the Developmental Assessment Room or from the Parent Room within RPA Newborn Care. For more information, or if you have any problems picking up your beads, leave a message with social work on 02 9515 9454.
The Tiny Star Beads program was developed by the Stella Bella Little Stars Foundation and offers a positive experience for babies and children with serious illness and their families. The Tiny Star Beads program provides a silver lining to your baby's hospital stay and will be treasured for years to come.
The beads are strung together to create a string of beads that will tell the story of each baby's personal, medical journey. The string of beads will become a very special memento for your family. The beads are a symbol of pride and courage for all the challenges that you and your baby have overcome.
